Stephani E. Kingsmill
Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer

Stephani Kingsmill Stephani Kingsmill is Senior Advisor to the CEO, responsible for partnering with Division and Function heads to champion and advise on select enterprise initiatives, with particular emphasis on strategy execution, senior executive succession and executive team effectiveness. In addition, she also assists the CEO in optimizing and deepening Manulife’s connections with customers, employees and shareholders. Stephani is a member of Manulife’s Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to her current role, Stephani was Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Manulife, responsible for the Company’s global human resources organization. In addition to focusing on attracting, engaging, developing and retaining the best talent, Stephani has worked to establish leadership as a professional discipline and develop a global HR organization. She has been a key sponsor of WorkSmart, which integrates workplace flexibility, design and technology.

Having first joined Manulife in 1988, Stephani has held a variety of progressively senior roles, including General Manager, Real Estate, where she was responsible for our multibillion-dollar investment portfolio of real estate across Canada, the U.S. and Asia. In addition, she has experience in the Company’s core financial services business lines, with marketing and product development positions in U.S. and Canadian Divisions and Manulife Asset Management, as well as Group Functions. Stephani has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network.

Stephani holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and is a member of the Queen’s University Board of Trustees Capital Assets & Finance Committee, as well as the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management Financial Services Advisory Board. She is a member of the Steering Committee of Greater Toronto’s CivicAction, an organization which engages civic leaders to improve the region’s social, economic and environmental future.
